The space between
So what happens when you arrive between what was and what is next? You’re neither here nor there. Standing at the door, curious to move forward and simply waiting in threshold. An artist experiences this vast spacial twist in creativity, the liminal space on rotation, frequently. It is necessary for tension, intensity and passion to boil for a transition to occur where dreaming time becomes material time manifest. Simply, inspiration knocks and our being takes a fancy step forward, it just feels right. All the elements have synchronised for the engines to start churning again.
The Liminal space can be a momentous chance to process freely without expectations in vacant space. A tense place of waiting, searching, healing, self-reflecting, collecting and even accessing the energised liminal dreaming space for symbolic inspiration.
Bits and pieces scattered, experimentation, no signals, silence, disorientation and then….., the spiritual glue forms for signals to come through freely; cohesion, felt unified peace. Creativity circuit connections energise a new twist and expressionistic language is channeled clear.
The ‘aha’ moment bubbles a divine love affair between creator and muse with a new work hatched.
I have to remind myself time and time again a holding ground can be fruitful, as expansive space holds new beginnings to flower when ready.
